should prob'ly make a commitment here

Not necessarily to say I'm doing so now, but I continue to be inspired by the example of of random-ass livejournal folk I've never heard of, who're doing exactly what I once promised to do with my account: post insignificant but entertaining life-inspired comics.
After all, what do they have that I don't?
Oh right, a scanner. Shit.
(Today's example, which I found 'cus John Campbell recommended it: http://finkenstein.livejournal.com/119851.html )

Of some annoyance is that this person's idea for a comic is like, exactly an idea I had months and months ago -- conversations with a future self -- but ... I could probably still use that idea. You sort of need an audience to get accused of plagiarism, and I really need something to get the ball rolling here.

Finally got around to deleting all the embarrassing shit I had laying around in here.

Might start posting again if I get in a mood to draw frequent comics or sketches, but it's not as if doing so would serve a purpose.
(Other than the drawing itself ... we'll see if that's motivation enough. I doubt hope it will be, if precedent can be trusted.)

EDIT: looks like the comic here is no longer hosted wherever it was hosted. Damn. It was a two-panel comic about as wide as a penny, panel one headed "comics for people with good eyesight" with a dude looking at a book, panel two the dude says "i think i need glasses." Fun at others' expense!

Another example of me drawing tiny: tinyme.jpg

EDIT: shit I just remembered I totally left that (the above pic) taped to the shelves in my dorm room -- I oughta sweet-talk whoever lives there now and see if its still there.

This took me somewhere over an hour to go from thought to comic.
Comics of this size will probably only happen once or twice a week.

UH OH -- Photobucket is capping my image size? Why does everywhere I try to host these do that to them? This is most annoying.
Ah ha! Imageshack doesn't shrink things! Third time's the charm for image hosting, I guess.

PS: I think I am the only person in my dorm who is not upstairs watching Blake play Halo 3! Drawing a comic is better.
